Delhi Weather Update: While Delhi-NCR has been experiencing mild morning sunshine for the past few days, the cold still lingers. Continuous snowfall in the mountainous regions is causing cold winds to intensify the chill in the plains.

These winds are hovering around 15 to 20 kilometers per hour, causing night temperatures to drop. Daytime temperatures are also below normal, hovering below 20 degrees Celsius.

Weather likely to change again today

The weather in Delhi-NCR may change again on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding the possibility of severe weather in the region. Light to moderate rain and strong winds are expected during this period. After a few days, rain and thunderstorms are expected again, so people have been advised to exercise caution.

Rain may reduce pollution

According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, the upcoming rains may improve air quality somewhat. Experts believe that the activity of western disturbances may persist for some time. Another western disturbance is expected to come into effect at the end of January. During this period, minimum temperatures may gradually increase, while maximum temperatures will remain largely unchanged. The weather is expected to fluctuate until early February.

Rain, Snowfall, and Hailstorms Possibility

According to weather experts, a strong western disturbance may cause light to moderate rain and snowfall at many places in the western Himalayan regions. Heavy rain, snowfall, and hailstorms are also possible in some areas.

Additionally, scattered rainfall is possible over the plains of northwest India. Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected during this period. Wind speeds are expected to generally be 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, with gusts even higher in some locations. Additionally, another western disturbance may affect the region’s weather later in the month.
