Railway Bonus: According to ANI, the Union Cabinet has agreed to provide a 78-day productivity-linked bonus to railway employees, as is customary every year. The government will provide a bonus of ₹1,865.68 crore to 10.91 lakh railway employees.
Railway Productivity Linked Bonus: Before the start of the festive season, the government has given good news to millions of railway employees. This was approved in the Union Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Modi. Apart from this, several important decisions were also taken in the cabinet meeting. According to ANI, the Union Cabinet agreed to provide 78 days of productivity linked bonus to railway employees as is done every year. The government will provide a bonus of Rs 1865.68 crore to 10.91 lakh railway employees. This amount is expected to arrive in the first week of October.
Work will be done on the doubling of this railway line.
During the cabinet meeting, 78 days of Productivity Linked Bonus was approved for over 10.91 lakh railway employees. A budget of ₹1,865.68 crore was approved for this purpose. The meeting also approved the doubling of the Bakhtiyarpur-Rajgir-Tilaiya railway line in Bihar. This project will cost a total of ₹2,192 crore.
The government also focuses on shipbuilding.
Approval was given for the construction of a 78.942-km, four-lane road on the Sahibganj-Areraj-Bettiah section of National Highway 139W in Bihar. This work will be carried out under the Hybrid Annuity Mode and will cost ₹3,822.31 crore. A package of ₹69,725 crore has also been approved to boost the country’s shipbuilding and maritime sector.
