Government gave big relief: Earlier, the Central Government had extended the validity period of driving license and motor vehicle documents, giving big relief to the car owners and drivers. The validity of documents such as compulsory driving license, registration, vehicle fitness etc. has been increased to 31 December 2020 under the Motor Vehicles Act. Earlier in June, it was extended to 30 September. This decision was taken keeping in view the prevailing situation and due to the necessary conditions for prevention of spread of Kovid-19 across the country.

First you go to the Sarathi website and download the online application form.
Work on filling the form according to the instructions given on the screen.
-Click on ‘Deposit’
-If the applicant is a minor, then take a print out of the form and fill Part D. After that, signatures are to be done by the parents / guardians on Part D in the presence of the licensing authorities by going to the nearest RTO.
– Upload all the required documents along with the application form (such as proof of age, proof of address, learner’s license number)
-After submitting you will receive a web application number, which is later used to track the application status.
– After the application is complete, you will be sent a confirmation message on the registered mobile number.
