The famous bike maker Royal Enfield has decided to recall 2,36,966 bikes of its Meteor 350, Classic 350 and Bullet 350 models manufactured between December 2020 and April 2021. According to the company, due to the malfunction of the ignition coil of these bikes, after which it has been decided to return them. This includes bikes exported to the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia in addition to vehicles sold in India.

On Wednesday, Royal Enfield issued a statement saying, “The company has found faults in the ignition coil of some of these models during their testing.” This may result in misfiring, reduced vehicle performance and in some cases electric short circuits. Royal Enfield says that although this problem is rare, not all motorcycles will have this defect. But considering the safety rules of the company, it has been decided to recall all the models.

The company also said in its statement that the recalled bikes were manufactured between December 2020 and April 2021. These include the Meteor 350 motorcycles, which were manufactured and sold between December 2020 and April 2021. If necessary, these motorcycles will be inspected and the parts will be replaced at no charge.
