Birth of Prophet Muhammad – Prophet Muhammad was born on the 12th of 571 AD in Mecca, a desert city of Arabia. Even before the birth of the Prophet, his father had passed away. When he was 6 years old, his mother also died. After the death of his mother, Prophet Mohammad started living with his uncle Abu Talib and grandfather Abu Mutalib. His father’s name was Abdullah and mother’s name was Bibi Amina. Allah first gave the Holy Quran to the Prophet Hazrat Mohammad. It was only after this that the Prophet took the message of the Holy Quran to every nook and corner of the world.

Significance of Eid Milad Un- Nabi- Eid Milad Un-Nabi is celebrated as the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad. On this day prayers are held throughout the night and processions are also taken out from place to place. Today the Quran is read in homes and mosques. On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the house and mosque are decorated and the messages of Mohammad Saheb are read. There was only one message of Hazrat Muhammad that only one who believes in humanity is great. On this day people also donate to the poor. It is believed that on the day of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Allah is pleased by giving charity and zakat.
