Electricity Department: Billed 80 crores to 80 years old; Shocked upon seeing, had to be hospitalized

The electricity department sent a bill of 80 crore rupees to an 80-year old man living in Mumbai’s Vasai area. The special thing is that this bill is only 2 months old. On seeing this, the elderly’s blood pressure increased and he was admitted to the hospital.

His family is in shock after the health of Ganpat Naik, a resident of Vasai. A bill of 80 crore 13 lakh 89 thousand 6 has been sent by the electricity supply company MSEDCL in Mumbai. The Naik family runs a rice mill in Vasai for 20 years. Due to the lockdown, his business has ended like that. Now after such a huge bill, the family is not thinking what they will do next.

Earlier, a bill of 54 thousand used to come every month,

Ganpat Naik says that how can the electricity department do this. What meter do they not check before sending the bill? How to send a wrong bill to someone like this? So far, the maximum electricity bill has come to 54 thousand per month. The mill was closed for several months during the lockdown, despite how such a bill could come for two months (December and January).

MSEDCL’s Additional Executive Engineer Surendra Mungare said that the fault occurred on behalf of the electricity meter reading agency. It is being verified. The agency made a 9-digit bill instead of 6.

MNS is continuously agitating

MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) has been agitating for the last few months by making the issue of electricity bill increasing continuously. MNS workers in Mumbai, Pune and Aurangabad have also vandalized during the last few days. In such a situation, once again, such a big bill proves that there is some big flaw in the bill making.
