Understanding the concerns of its millions of users, EPFO has launched a new feature called Passbook Lite. This feature allows users to check their EPF balance with a single click. Using this feature will make checking your PF balance much easier.
What is ‘Passbook Lite’?
‘Passbook Lite’ is an interface available on the EPFO website. With this feature, users can now view their PF balance directly without going through a complex login process. Previously, PF account holders had to enter their UAN, password, and captcha, but now the process has been simplified. Users now only need to enter their UAN number and OTP. After that, they can directly access their passbook.
How to use Passbook Lite?
- First, visit the official EPFO website at www.epfindia.gov.in
- Then, click on the ‘Passbook Lite’ section.
- Now, enter your UAN number.
- An OTP will be sent to your mobile phone.
- Enter the OTP and click ‘Submit’.
- Your PF passbook will then be displayed on the screen.
Why was this feature so necessary?
