Farmers Protest: 5 kg almonds, 5100 rupees…! Monu Dagar reached Ghazipur border after running 50 kilometers

Farmers Protets: Monu Dagar had a bet with other boys in the village, due to which he started running from 11 am on Sunday and reached the border at 4 pm.

The farmers’ agitation continues on the borders of Delhi against the agricultural law, in which a young man has run from his village to Ghazipur border in support of the farmers. However, his friends had made a bet of 5 kg of almonds and Rs 5100 for this. Monu Dagar, a resident of Sikhheda village in Baghpat, said, “5 kilograms of almonds and 5100 rupees in the village were conditioned to run from Sikhheda village in Baghpat to Ghazipur border.”

The distance from Sikheda village to Ghazipur border is about 50 kilometers. Monu said, “This was a condition in support of farmers for which I have run here, I have won the bet and I will meet Rakesh Tikait later.”

In fact, Monu got a bet from the other boys in the village, due to which he started running from 11 am on Sunday and reached the border at 4 pm, although Monu’s health deteriorated due to continuous running. As soon as Monu reached the border, he was immediately taken to a medical camp located in the border and given a place to rest.

His friends have also come with Monu in support of the farmers and he also ran, but in between he kept sitting on the trains. His friend Akash, who came with Monu, said, “Monu has been running from Shuru, so similar things were going on in the village that anyone who runs in the village will be rewarded. Akash said, “Monu started running from 11 am, though some of his companions also started running to encourage him.”

Farmers are opposing these laws

In fact, farmers have been protesting against the newly enacted farm laws since November 26 last year on various boundaries of the national capital. The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 are opposing the government for the Farmer Empowerment and Protection Agreement.
