FASTag New Rule: Big News! FASTag will be 'blacklisted' before annual pass, don't make this mistake

FASTag rules become strict: To avoid any fraud along with smooth and safe travel on the national highways of the country, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is becoming even stricter about FASTag.

Loose FASTag will be ‘blacklisted’

NHAI has announced that loose FASTag kept separately instead of being installed in the windshield of the vehicle will now be blacklisted.

This step is very important

The authority says that this step is very important for the authenticity of FASTag and smooth running of the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system.

Annual pass starts from 15th August

Let us tell you that FASTag Annual Pass is going to be started across the country from 15th August. Along with this, Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling is also going to be rolled out.

Instructions to toll agencies too

Before this, it is very important to ensure that all vehicles have FASTag installed on their windshields. For this, the authority has also instructed the toll collection agencies.

‘Loose FASTag’ cases were seen

Some such cases have been seen in which users keep the FASTag aside instead of putting it on the windshield of the vehicle. Which leads to false chargebacks and operational issues.

These problems are occurring

Apart from this, it also leads to misuse of the closed-loop system and problems like traffic jams and delays at toll plazas.

NHAI will take immediate action

To take action against such users, NHAI has issued a dedicated email ID. After reporting on which, the user will be blacklisted immediately.

Be careful

So if you have also not installed the FASTag of your vehicle on the windshield and are traveling by keeping it aside. So be careful, and paste the FASTag on the windshield immediately.
