FD Rate Reduces: SBI reduces interest on FD, check new rates here

SBI FD Rates: The country’s largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), has dealt a major blow to its customers. SBI has reduced its FD interest rates. Now, ordinary people will receive lower interest rates on their FDs.

SBI FD Rates: The country’s largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), has dealt a significant blow to its customers. SBI has reduced its FD interest rates. Now, ordinary people will receive lower interest rates. The bank has reduced the interest rate on all its FDs by 0.05%. This interest rate applies to FDs of less than ₹3 crore. Following the RBI’s repo rate reduction, most banks in the country are reducing interest rates on FDs. These new rates are effective today, December 15, 2025.

SBI FD Rates

SBI Bank offers FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. The bank is offering the highest interest rate for senior citizens on FDs of 5 to 10 years. The interest rate on these FDs is 7.05%. This time, SBI has reduced the interest rate on most of its FDs by 0.05%. Now, the bank is offering interest rates ranging from 3.05% to 7.05%.

Latest interest rates on State Bank of India FDs

7 days to 45 days: General public – 3.05 percent; Senior citizens – 3.55 percent

46 days to 179 days: For general public – 4.90 percent; For senior citizens – 5.40 percent

180 days to 210 days: For general public – 5.65 percent; For senior citizens – 6.15 percent

211 days to less than 1 year: For general public – 5.90 percent; For senior citizens – 6.40 percent

1 year to less than 2 years: For general public – 6.25 percent; For senior citizens – 6.75 percent

2 years to less than 3 years: For general public – 6.40 percent; For senior citizens – 6.90 percent

3 years to less than 5 years: For general public – 6.30 percent; For senior citizens – 6.80 percent

5 years to 10 years: For general public – 6.05 percent; For senior citizens – 7.05 percent. (Senior citizens get an additional 0.50 percent interest under the SBI weCare plan.)
