Flight Canceled: Big news for passengers..! Air India-Indigo canceled flights to 7 cities, check list here

Although a formal ceasefire has been declared between India and Pakistan, the situation of tension still remains. Keeping security in mind, IndiGo and Air India have cancelled flights to seven cities. These include Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh and three other cities.

Air India has canceled two-way flight operations to Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, Rajkot. IndiGo has canceled flights to Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar and Rajkot. The airline said in a post on ‘X’ at 11:38 pm on Monday, ‘In view of the latest developments and considering your safety as our top priority, flights to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar and Rajkot have been canceled till May 13, 2025.’ The airline also said that its team is actively monitoring the situation.

These six airports are among the airports that were reopened for civilian flights on Monday after being temporarily closed in the wake of the military conflict between India and Pakistan. According to sources, an Amritsar-bound IndiGo flight on Monday evening returned to the national capital after precautionary ‘blackout’ measures were implemented in Amritsar.

Let us tell you that the service for the general public was started at these airports on Monday itself. The Airport Authority of India had announced on Monday that 32 airports which were temporarily closed are being reopened. It was announced to start operations for general passengers from Adhampur, Ambala, Avantipura, Bathinda, Bikaner, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Kandla, Kangra, Keshod, Kinnagarh, Mundra, Nalia, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar airports.

Let us tell you that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Army started Operation Sindoor on 7 May . After this, a panicked Pakistan started firing drones and missiles. Pakistan’s missiles were shot down in the air by the Indian defense system. At the same time, 7 airbases of Pakistan were damaged in India’s retaliatory attack.
