Israel-Iran War: Air India has announced that flights have been suspended on all routes within the Middle East. This decision was made due to the escalating tensions in the region, the Israel-Iran conflict, and the closure of airspace by several countries.
Israel-Iran War: The Middle East is facing a warlike situation. Israel has launched Operation Roaring Lion against Iran and is carrying out attacks in collaboration with the United States. Iran is also retaliating. Amidst this, several countries have closed their airspace and canceled flights. In response to the situation, Air India has suspended all flights to the Middle East with immediate effect.
Air India issued an advisory stating, “In light of the evolving situation in parts of the Middle East, all Air India flights to all destinations in the Middle East have been suspended. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards for our passengers and crew. We will continue to assess the safety and security environment for our flight operations and will adjust operations as needed. Our teams will provide all necessary support to passengers.”

Air India flight AI139 is returning to India mid-way due to the closure of Israeli airspace. The flight departed from Delhi for Tel Aviv on February 28 but was diverted due to the situation.

IndiGo stated in its travel advisory, “We are closely monitoring regional updates related to Iran and its airspace. The safety of our customers and crew is our top priority. Our teams are prepared to make any necessary changes as the situation evolves. Passengers are advised to check their flight status before departure. In the event of any impact, updates will be immediately communicated through registered contact details. We will keep you informed and remain fully committed to providing our unwavering support during this time.”
European Countries Issue Alert Regarding US-Iran Tensions
Some European countries have urged their citizens to leave or avoid travel to Iran and several other areas in the Middle East due to escalating tensions. The British government said on Friday that it has temporarily withdrawn its staff from Iran, and its embassy will continue to operate remotely, advising against any travel to the country. The French Foreign Ministry issued a security advisory for French citizens against travel to Israel, Jerusalem, and the West Bank. Italy also urged its citizens to leave Iran and advised extreme caution throughout the Middle East. Germany updated its travel guidance to prevent travel to Israel.
