Under CEC, several renowned colleges are currently offering three different writing-related courses (Writing Free Courses), which can be joined within a stipulated timeframe. All you need to do is visit the official website and register.
The list of free courses includes “Academic Writing,” “Indian Writing in English,” and “Indian Writing in English-1.” These courses are free and can be completed within a few weeks. The enrollment deadline is February 28, 2026, and the courses are scheduled to commence in January 2026. If you wish to pursue a career in writing, you can join any course that suits your needs.
Learn about the course
Academic Writing: Over 400 learners have enrolled in this course so far. This course is offered by HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Garhwal, Uttarakhand. It is a UG/PG level program, scheduled to run from January 14th to April 30th, 2026. It can be completed in just 15 weeks. This course is an excellent option for postgraduate students, research scholars, scientists, and faculty members.
Indian Writing in English: This course is offered by Professor Vinod Mishra of the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. This undergraduate program will run from January 12th to April 30th, 2026. It takes only 15 weeks to complete.
Indian Writing in English-1: This course is offered by Professor G. Swarna Lakshmi of the University. So far, 35 learners have enrolled. The course will begin on January 12th and conclude on April 30th, 2026. It is included in the Language category, available in the English language. The course is divided into different genres, including poetry, drama, non-fiction, fiction, and short stories.
