Losar is on Friday 28 February. Losar is the main New Year festival of the Tibetan Buddhist community. This festival is celebrated with great pomp in the Buddhist-dominated areas of Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh. Losar literally means New Year.
