Why will banks be closed on Friday 6 June 2025?

All government and private banks like SBI, PNB, HDFC Ban will remain closed in Kerala. Eid-ul-Azha, also known as Bakrid, is an important festival of Islam which symbolizes the spirit of renunciation and sacrifice. This festival is celebrated in memory of Hazrat Ibrahim’s (peace be upon him) obedience and devotion to Allah. On this day, Muslims offer special prayers and sacrifice animals in the name of Allah.

June 7 (Saturday): Bakri Eid (Id-ul-Zuha) – Banks will remain closed in most states.

June 11 (Wednesday): Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti / Saga Dawa – Banks closed in Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh.

June 27 (Friday): Rath Yatra / Kang (Rathajatra) – Banks closed in Odisha and Manipur.

June 30 (Monday): Remna Ni – Banks closed in Mizoram.
