The imperative of Aadhaar has been done away with for digital life certificate.
Keeping in mind the Corona crisis, the government had taken a big decision in the past. This decision will benefit crores of pensioners. Actually, the government has now removed the imperative of Aadhaar for digital life certificate. Earlier, Aadhaar used to be necessary for digital life certificate or life certificate.
Apart from this, Aadhaar verification has also been optional for messaging service Sandes. Not only this, now its mandatory for attendance in public offices has been done away with. Please tell that the Sandes app is the instant messaging platform of the Government of India. It works on both Android and iOS. It was launched in August 2020. It has been developed by the National Informatics Center with the help of the Government of India.
Previously, pensioners had to be physically present to get a life certificate, which was a big problem for them. In such a situation, to give relief from physical verification, the Modi government started the digital life certificate process in 2014. According to the old rule, pensioners had to appear before the pension-issuing institution every year. The other option was that this certificate from the local administration was issued after the specification which had to be submitted to the pension paying institution.
In 2018, on the complaint of pensioners, some government institutions had abolished the imperative of Aadhaar, but now Aadhaar has been made voluntary by issuing notifications. The Ministry of IT and Electronics has also decided to eliminate the requirement of Aadhaar for the Sandesh app.
Sandes App – You can use this app in place of WhatsApp. This app has been created by the National Informatics Center (NIC) and can be used on both Android and iOS. In this app, you will get end-to-end encryption feature like WhatsApp. Along with this, you will get the feature of contact sharing, message styling, message tagging, backup and restore, group chat, video and voice calls etc.
