There are 35 lakh pensioners associated with EPFO. So far, any pensioner can submit JPP (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) only till 30 November. Which is valid for one year from the date of implementation. But they will benefit from this step taken by EPFO.
new Delhi. The EPFO has given relief to pensioners in view of the difficulties faced by senior citizens due to the Kovid 19 epidemic in India. The EPFO has extended the period of submission of life certificate for the pensioners under the EPS 1995 by three months. In such a situation, pensioners will now be able to submit certificates by 28 February 2021.
There are 35 lakh pensioners associated with EPFO. Till now, any pensioner can submit JPP (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) only till 30 November, which is valid for one year after the issue. But this step taken by EPFO will benefit all these pensioners.
All these pensioners can submit their life certificates in many ways. For this, pensioners can avail 3.65 lakh Common Service Centers (CSC), Pension Disbursing Banks Branch, 1.36 lakh post offices, 1.90 lakh postmen of postal network and Gramin Dak Sevaks across the country.

With the extension of time by the EPFO, it has been said that the pension of these 35 lakh pensioners who have not deposited JPP till November 2020 will not be withheld.
