After the merger of OBC and UBI with Punjab National Bank (PNB), the user IDs of the account holders of these two banks have changed. From April 1, 2021, the user IDs of OBC and UBI account holders will change.

Actually, after the merger of OBC and UBI with Punjab National Bank (PNB), the user IDs of the account holders of these two banks have changed. That is, the account holders have to change their old user ID. From April 1, 2021, the user IDs of OBC and UBI account holders will change. If you do not change the User ID, you will not be able to use Net Banking. PNB has given this information by tweeting.

PNB said in tweet, will my user ID change due to merger? The bank said, yes, there has been a change in your User ID. Explain that after the merger of OBC and UBI banks into PNB, the MICR Code and IFSC Code will also change from April 1, 2021.

Follow these changes to the User ID

>> To know the User ID, login to ‘Know your user ID’ option.

>> eOBC customers have to put ‘O’ in front of their 8 digit user ID.

>> eUNI customers have to put ‘U’ in front of their 8 digit user ID.

>> Customers with 9 digit user ID do not need to make changes.

Changed IFSC and MICR codes of PNB

According to PNB, the old IFSC code has been changed. These codes will not work after 31 March 2021. If someone uses the old code then money will not be transferred. Bank’s IFSC add along with bank account number for online transaction. The number of banks in India is very large and in this situation the branches of all banks cannot be remembered.

The bank says that the old MICR code will no longer do. Let us tell you that OBC, United Bank of India has merged with PNB. Now the existence of these two banks is over. Customers of both these banks have shifted to PNB. That is why the rules have changed.
