After which every worker of the country will have a record. The Union Ministry of Labor and Employment will issue a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and e-Shram Card for about 38 crore laborers in the unorganized sector, which will be valid across the country. E-shram card will give a new identity to crores of unorganized workers of the country.

You will get a 12-digit unique number The
Union Ministry of Labor and Employment will issue a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) for about 38 crore laborers in the unorganized sector. With this step, there will be portability of welfare schemes, workers will also get the benefit of many beneficial schemes in times of crisis.
Ajay Tiwari, director general of labor welfare and joint secretary in the ministry, said that social security (pension, insurance) schemes including PMSYM, PMJJBY, PMSBY and PM-JAY (Ayushman Bharat) will be added to the database. Informal sector workers will be able to register to take advantage of these schemes through this database platform.
There will be a toll free number to help the workers, in addition to construction workers, migrant workers, street vendors and domestic workers are included. He said that after the launch of the portal, workers of the unorganized sector can register themselves from the same day. The portal will be launched on 26th August and a national toll free number 14434 will also be started to help the workers to register on the same day.
Free health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh In
Ayushman Bharat Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana), each family is given a free health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh annually.
Rs 3000 pension is available in PMSYM, Pradhan
Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana (PM Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojna) is a better scheme for the workers of the unorganized sector. Under this, street vendors, rickshaw pullers, construction workers and people associated with the unorganized sector engaged in many other similar works will be helped to secure their old age. Under this scheme, a pension of Rs 3000 per month i.e. Rs 36000 per year will be available.
