A big meeting is going to be held between the National Council JCM and the representatives of the Modi Government Department of Personnel & Training on 26 June 2021 regarding Dearness Allowance, its arrears and other important demands of Central employees. A total of 29 issues including the total Freeze Dearness allowance will be discussed in this meeting. If the meeting is positive, then many demands of the central employees will be fulfilled.

Let us tell you that the biggest issue of the meeting is the ban on increase in dearness allowance due to Corona Mahamari. When this ban is lifted, then central employees will get 3 installments of Dearness Allowance. This will lead to a big increase in the salary.

According to the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), the union of central employees, the meeting which was to be held on May 8, will now be held on June 26. The issues of the meeting have been decided. According to JCM Secretary (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra, we will hold a meeting with the officials of the Finance Ministry and Department of Personnel and Training. Many issues will be discussed in the meeting. Especially there will be talk about the arrears of Dearness Allowance available under the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission). This also includes the arrears of Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners. We want the government to give us arrears. If it cannot be given together, then it should be paid in instalments.

Who will be in the meeting

According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, the meeting will be chaired by a secretary-level officer. In the meeting, along with the DA and DR of the 7th Pay Commission, other issues of the employees will also be included. State Employees Joint Council (UP) General Secretary RK Nigam said that the government should lift the ban on the increase in dearness allowance. 2; Provision of Reimbursement for long stay in the hospital.

3; Reimbursement of the cost of indoor treatment of pensioners residing in cities where central government health services are not available.

5; Health insurance scheme should be started for all central employees and pensioners outside CGHS.

6; General Provident Fund (GPF) facility should be given to people who came in government jobs after January 1, 2004.

7; Revision of Group Insurance Scheme.

8; All anomalies of 7th pay commission should be abolished.

9; The order to freeze Dearness allowance and Dearness Relief should be returned.

10; Allowance should be given to the widowed wife of the fired employee.

Getting 17% DA

Central employees are getting 17% DA at present. It had increased to 21% in January 2019. But due to Corona, the hike was frozen till June 2021. Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the government is ready to issue DA. But arrears also have to be paid. Dearness Allowance is a part of salary and Dearness Relief is part of pension. The government has arrears of 18 months. He has to issue it.

DA can increase up to 32 percent

Employees’ organizations say that the amount of DA should be increased by 24 percent in June 2020, 28 percent in December 2020 and 32 percent in July 21.
