Government has changed the rates of medicines, these 39 medicines will be cheaper, the price of these 16 will increase – check list

Now the price of 39 types of medicines used in the treatment of different diseases will be reduced. Actually, the central government has included them in the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM).

New Delhi. During the Corona period, the central government has given relief to the common man. After this decision of the government, the price of 39 types of medicines used in the treatment of different diseases will now be reduced. Actually, the central government has included them in the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM). These include medicines used in the treatment of diseases like corona to cancer, diabetes and TB.

Not only this, the price of 16 medicines will increase , 16 already included medicines have been excluded from this list. This may increase their prices. Let us tell you that even after seeing the change in the use of medicines, they are removed from the list. Also it has to be decided that this list is not too long.

These medicines were included in the list –

Amikacin (antibiotic)
Azacitidine (anti-cancer)
Bedaquiline (anti-TB)
Bendamustine Hydrochloride (anti-cancer)
Buprenorphine ( opioid antagonists)
Buprenorphine+Naloxone (opioid antagonists)
Cefuroxime (antibiotic)
Dabigatran (anticoagulant)
Daclatasvir (antiviral)
Darunavir+Ritonavir (antiretroviral)
Delamanid (anti-TB)
Dolutegravir (antiretroviral)
Fludarabine (anti-cancer)
Fludrocortisone (corticosteroid)
Fulvestrant (anti-cancer)
Insulin Glargine (anti-diabetes)
Irinotecan HCL Trihydrate (anti-cancer)
Itraconazole (antifungal)
Ivermectin (anti-parasitic)
Lamivudine (antiretroviral)
Latanoprost (treat ocular hypertension)
Lenalidomide (anti-cancer)
Montelukast (anti-allergy)
Mupirocin (topical antibiotic)

Atenolol (anti-hypertension)
Bleaching Powder, Cetrimide (antiseptic)
Erythromycin (antibiotic)
Ethinylestradiol+Norethisterone (birth control)
Ganciclovir (antiviral)
Lamivudine+Nevirapine+Stavudine (antiretroviral)
Leflunomide (antirheumatic)
Nicotinamide (Vitamin-B)
Pegylated interferon alfa 2a
Pegylated interferon alfa 2b (antiviral)
Pentamidine (antifungal)
Prilocaine+Lignocaine (anesthetic)
Rifabutin (antibiotic)
Stavudine+Lamivudine (antiretroviral)
Sucralfate (anti-ulcer)

The names of 399 essential medicines are now available in NLEM 2021. It is currently under direct price control. This means that there is a price cap by the government on all the medicines coming in this list so that these medicines can be made available to the patients at a low cost.
