Government on new concept of privatisation, now private sector experts will take big government decisions

With a view to curbing red tape and giving a chance to fresh talent in bureaucracy, the present government has now decided to appoint private sector specialists in higher posts in different departments. In this episode, 30 experts from the private sector will be directly reinstated to the positions of joint secretary and director for inclusion in decision making. In June 2018, the Ministry of Personnel had drawn a private vacancy for 10 joint secretary posts. It was considered an ambitious move by the Modi government to bring new talent into the bureaucracy.

Appointment to 3 joint secretary posts
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought applications from talented and Indian citizens for a total of 30 posts of three joint secretary and 27 director level in various government departments. The Department of Personnel and Training, as per the requirements received from the Government of India, has sought applications from talented and motivated Indian citizens willing to contribute towards nation building to join the government on contract basis.

15 years experience required for joint secretary
Joint Secretary level officers will be appointed in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare. This will be a contract basis job and requires at least 15 years of experience. For this, online application has to be done and after being shortlisted, the selection process will be completed on the basis of the interview.




10 years experience required for director post
For director level, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Financial Services, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of School Education, Higher Education Department, Consumer Affairs Ministry, Health Ministry, Road Transport Ministry, Civil aviation ministry is required in the skill development ministry. For this, at least 10 years of experience is required. For this, online application has to be done and after being shortlisted, the selection process will be completed on the basis of the interview.
