Heavy Rain Alert: The weather is about to change suddenly in many parts of the country as three cyclonic circulations are active simultaneously, bringing widespread rainfall, strong winds, and a drop in temperature (Weather Update Latest News). Learn in detail about these three cyclonic circulations and the major changes in weather they may cause.

The upper air cyclonic circulation near the Strait of Malacca continues to persist and is expected to lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea on November 22. This system is expected to intensify into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 24 and is expected to intensify further over the next 48 hours.

The second system is located in the southeast Arabian Sea. It was previously a low pressure area near Lakshadweep and the Maldives but has now activated as a cyclonic circulation. The third cyclonic circulation is active over eastern Bangladesh and surrounding areas. Together, these three systems could significantly impact the weather in southern Indian states, and warnings have been issued for heavy rainfall and strong winds in many areas.

Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, with heavy rainfall at many places (Severe Rainfall Alert) between November 21 and 24. Very heavy rainfall is expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 23 and 24. Strong winds with speeds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour are expected in these areas between November 21 and 25, which could disrupt normal life.

Temperatures will also change. Minimum temperatures in western and central India will increase by 2 to 3 degrees over the next three days. Temperatures in northwest India are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees this week. A cold wave (Cold Wave Alert) is possible in western Madhya Pradesh on November 22 and 23. Light to moderate fog is also expected in northeast India.

The most stringent warning has been issued for fishermen. Any maritime activity is prohibited in several areas, including the Andaman Sea, the southeast Bay of Bengal, the southwest Bay of Bengal, the southern part of the central Gulf, and the Gulf of Mannar, from November 21 to 26, as the sea is expected to be extremely rough.
