Due to these weather systems, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to experience continuous heavy rainfall (Severe Rainfall Alert) from November 22 to 27, with a Very Heavy Rain Alert issued for November 24 and 25. Heavy rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu from November 22 to 25.
Kerala and Mahe are likely to experience heavy rainfall from November 22nd to 26th. Lakshadweep is also forecast to experience heavy rainfall on November 22nd and 23rd. A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Rayalaseema on November 22nd. The risk of lightning has also increased. Thunderstorms and strong winds of up to 40-50 kmph are likely to occur over the next several days in Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep.
Temperatures in North India will gradually drop by two to three degrees, while Northeast India and Uttar Pradesh may experience fog for the next five days. According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area has developed today near the Strait of Malacca and the South Andaman Sea due to an upper-air cyclonic circulation that formed yesterday. This system is expected to rapidly move west-northwestward and develop into a depression by November 24th. It is expected to strengthen further over the next 48 hours, worsening the weather in the southwest Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, another low-level cyclonic circulation is active over eastern Bangladesh, affecting weather in the northeastern region. A cyclonic circulation is also present over the southeast Arabian Sea, intensifying sea breezes. Additionally, a circulation is also present over the Comorin region and the Indian Equatorial Ocean.
