Northwest India
The pre-monsoon season will intensify in northwest India. Consequently, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert that on March 18, 19, 20, and 21, there will be heavy rain in some areas, while light rain will occur in others in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. During this period, there is also an alert of strong winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour.
Eastern and Central India
Pre-monsoon will also intensify in eastern and central India. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha on March 18, 19, 20, and 21. During this period, strong winds with speeds of up to 50-70 kilometers per hour, lightning, and hailstorms are also expected in some districts.
Western India
The pre-monsoon will intensify in western India. Consequently, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert that Central Maharashtra and Marathwada will experience heavy rainfall on March 18, 19, 20, and 21. There is also an alert for thunderstorms and thunderstorms during this period.
South India
The pre-monsoon will intensify in southern India as well.
