Heavy Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many states of the country from July 29 to August 3. There is a possibility of extremely heavy rains at many places. According to the IMD, very heavy rains are likely at some places in eastern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the coming days. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya for the next 7 days.

Heavy Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy to very heavy rains are likely in many areas of the country for the next 7 days. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are likely in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan during the next 4 days. In which very heavy rains are likely at some places in eastern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on July 29. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya for the next 7 days.

Low pressure area remains

Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the western Himalayan region from 29 to 31 July and heavy rains may also occur in the adjoining plains in the next 2 to 3 days. Due to the effect of low pressure area over north-west Madhya Pradesh and adjoining eastern Rajasthan, moderate to intense convective (sustainable) clouds are being seen over western Madhya Pradesh and south-east Rajasthan adjoining northern Gujarat. IMD has also taken a picture of it from the satellite.

Heavy to very heavy rains likely in many states of the country

  • Extremely heavy rainfall is likely at some places in eastern Rajasthan on July 29, while very heavy rainfall may occur on July 30 and 31.
  • Very heavy rains may occur at some places in western Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh on July 29.
  • Heavy rains are likely at some places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, eastern Uttar Pradesh during July 29 to August 3.
  • Heavy rains may occur in eastern Rajasthan and western Rajasthan on August 1.
  • Heavy rains are likely at some places in Konkan, Gujarat region, Ghat areas of central Maharashtra on July 29.
  • Light to moderate rains may occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during July 29 to August 3. Heavy to very heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms are likely to continue in many areas.
  • Heavy rains are likely at some places in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh during July 29 to 31.
  • Heavy rains are likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha during July 29 to August 3.
