Due to Western Disturbance, a new phase of storm and rain may start in many other states including Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain.
How is the weather system in the country right now
According to a report by Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over northeastern Assam and surrounding areas. A new western disturbance can affect the western Himalayan region from March 9. The western disturbance that was present earlier has now moved northeastward from North Pakistan and surrounding areas. Due to the weather system, strong winds blew from the northwest direction in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Vidarbha and North Maharashtra on Wednesday. Whereas, light rain and snowfall occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

Strong winds will blow in many areas
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the period of thunderstorms along with rain may continue in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya. Apart from this, strong winds may blow in Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim for the next two to three days. There is no forecast of any major change in the weather in Northwest India in the next 24 hours. After this, the temperature may increase rapidly. The temperature may increase by four to six degrees Celsius.
Temperatures dropped due to rain, snowfall and strong winds
According to a Skymet report, in the last 24 hours, strong winds blew from the northwest direction in many states including Delhi-UP, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat. Due to this, the minimum temperature in these states has dropped. For the past few days, rain and snowfall has been continuing in many areas including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh. This has also caused a drop in temperature.
