The spell of rain continues across the country. The weather department has predicted heavy rains in the plains as well as the hilly states.
Heavy Rains Alert: Monsoon rains are in full swing across the country. Heavy rains have started once again in Delhi NCR. Heavy rains are falling at different places in Delhi NCR since Tuesday (August 12, 2025) morning. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rains at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 7 days.
According to the Meteorological Department, a new round of heavy to very heavy rains is likely in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana during August 13 to 17. Extremely heavy rains may occur in Telangana on August 14 and 15.
Red alert issued for many districts of Uttarakhand
Senior Meteorologist of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Dr. RK Jenamani said that there is a possibility of rain in Delhi NCR from August 12 to August 16. Talking about the hilly states, according to the Meteorological Center in Dehradun, all the districts of the state will remain cloudy on August 12. Showers can be seen throughout the day. Red alert has been issued for Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
How will the weather be in UP, Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains at different places in Madhya Maharashtra during August 13 to 17, Konkan and Goa during August 12 to 17, Gujarat on August 12 and Marathwada on August 15. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rains in Uttarakhand during August 12 and 14 to 17, Western UP on August 13 and 14 and Eastern Uttar Pradesh on August 13 and 14.
Possibility of heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana
Heavy rains have been predicted at different places in Jammu and Kashmir during August 13 to 15, Himachal Pradesh during August 12 to 17, Haryana and Chandigarh during August 12 to 15.
