Hindon Airport Service: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave wings to the UDAN scheme in her budget speech on Sunday. Flights will land even in small cities. To achieve this, emphasis will be placed on strengthening infrastructure and providing air access to the common man.
Further emphasis will be placed on upgrading runways, terminals, and navigation systems at airports. Such announcements are expected to accelerate the expansion of Hindon Airport.
Hindon Airport is a rapidly developing airport in the district. Flights to several cities have commenced from here in a very short period of time. Efforts to expand the airport have been underway for quite some time. However, the proposed seven and a half acres of land for airport expansion has not yet been acquired.
Currently, Hindon Airport offers flights to Jaipur, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Adampur, Kishangarh, Patna, Nanded, Bathinda, and other cities. Efforts are underway to expand flights to Prayagraj, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur.
Continuous efforts are being made to expand Hindon Airport. Seven and a half acres of land will soon be acquired for its expansion. Discussions are underway. Regarding the budget, the initiative to connect even small cities with air travel is excellent. This will benefit the development of cities.
