You can also update online
Earlier, the government had developed a special app. However now you can go to the government website and go directly online and update.
Currently the central government has implemented the One Country and One Card scheme. This has enabled one to buy goods at affordable prices anywhere in the country. It is important to note that in this case, you will not be able to avail such benefits unless you have updated the ration card.
How to connect?
To do so, go to https://tnpds.gov.in/ . It will have the option of user login. Enter your registered mobile number, click on the captcha characters and click on the 7 digit OTP number. If you register and click on it, it will start on another page.
Get scanned
- Click on the reference numbers on that new page. It will contain many details about the number of family members currently on your ration card.
- No problem if you have already registered Aadhar card. Failure to do so will result in an option called Scan. You can update the source by clicking on it.
- After clicking Scan, can I scan? As asked. You can scan and update the QR code.
How to update in this?
You can go to https://uidai.gov.in/ for another update.
In this, click on the start now option. Enter your address and mobile number and click on the Ration Card Benefit option.
When is the update?
You will need to provide details including your Aadhar card number and email ID and Aadhar number. If you register after registering the details, OTP will come to your registered mobile number. Update the OTP and submit. After this your Aadhar and Ration Card link will be updated soon.
How about offline?
If the mobile number registered in your ration card is not available, you can go offline and update. You can update by giving details including ration card, Aadhar card, passport size photo. You can go to the resource center and update it biometrically.
