IDFC First Bank has launched the Hello Cashback Credit Card. This is a fixed deposit-linked card for those looking to build their credit history. This card will be linked to a fixed deposit and its credit limit will be equal to the value of the fixed deposit. The bank will offer cashback on payments made using this card.

Cashback on Transactions

Users of the Hello Cashback Credit Card will receive a 3% cashback on online transactions up to ₹10,000 per statement cycle. A 5% cashback will be available on transactions above ₹10,000. A 1% cashback will be available on contactless and UPI payments in stores. This cashback will also be available on payments for utilities, education, and insurance premiums.

A minimum FD of 10,000 is required.

If a user makes a travel booking through the IDFC First Bank app, their cashback will include an additional 1% bonus. This limit is set at ₹1,500 per month. A minimum fixed deposit of ₹10,000 is required to obtain this credit card.

Joining Fee and Annual Charges

This card has a fixed joining fee of ₹1,000, along with an annual fee of ₹1,000. However, if this card is issued by March 31, 2026, the bank will not charge any joining fee. The bank may also waive the annual fee based on the user’s transactions in the previous year. Annual charges will be completely waived for annual spends up to ₹2 lakh. Some fees will be waived for spends between ₹1 lakh and ₹1 lakh.

ATM Withdrawals

The Hello Cashback Credit Card allows users to withdraw funds from their linked FDs through ATMs. A nominal fee is available for a 45-day interest-free period. Users can increase the card limit by increasing the FD amount if needed. The card also offers benefits like insurance coverage, purchase protection, lost card liability, roadside assistance, and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver.

Helps in building a credit history

Shirish Bhandari, Head of Credit Cards, Fastag & Loyalty at IDFC First Bank, said that this card has been launched targeting customers who want to enter the credit system, especially those who increasingly use digital and UPI for payments.
