When I add my bank account, shares, mutual funds and mobile number to Aadhaar, then these information will not reach the UIDAI. Or else, no one will steal these information. If such a question is also in your mind, then let us know the answer

Answer – Absolutely not. When you give your Aadhaar number to your bank account, mutual fund companies and mobile phone companies, they only send your Aadhaar number, biometric and name etc. to UIDAI for verification of your identity.

Bank accounts or other details are not sent to UIDAI. As far as UIDAI is concerned, it answers yes or no to such verification request.

If the answer to the verification is yes then your basic KYC information (name, address, photo etc.) is given to the service provider.

Let me tell you that often news comes about misuse of Aadhaar. Recently a newspaper had reported that only 500 rupees can be breached in Aadhaar database. That is why UIDAI has answered some such questions.
