This Western Disturbance is a cyclonic circulation located north of Pakistan, with a turf at 3.1 km above sea level and around 72°E longitude to north of 30°N latitude. This disturbance has now moved in the east-northeast direction.
In the last 24 hours, strong winds blew from the northwest direction in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and North Maharashtra. Due to this, a drop in temperature was recorded in these states. At the same time, light rain and snowfall occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain also occurred in Assam.
Day and night temperatures dropped by 4-5 degrees in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, while Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat dropped by 3-4 degrees.

Light to moderate rain is likely in East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain may occur at isolated places in Lakshadweep and Kerala. Maximum temperatures may fall further in Rajasthan and Gujarat in the next 24 hours.
