IMD Rain Alert, Weather Update: A low pressure area has formed over the South Andaman Sea on November 22. Due to this, it is likely to turn into a depression over the Bay of Bengal around November 24. Heavy rain is expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands during November 22-27 and very heavy rain on November 24 and 25. Heavy rain alert is issued for Tamil Nadu during November 22-25, Kerala and Mahe during November 22-26, Lakshadweep on November 22 and 23 and Rayalaseema on November 22.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is below six degrees. Minimum temperatures are between 7-10 degrees in some places in Himachal Pradesh, isolated places in Uttarakhand, and many places in Punjab. Minimum temperatures below six degrees were recorded in some places in Madhya Pradesh, and at isolated places in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and eastern Rajasthan.
Minimum temperatures are expected to increase by 2 degrees Celsius in western and central India over the next two days.
