IMD Rainfall Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in Kerala and Tamil Nadu over the next seven days. Several other states are also under heavy rainfall alert.
Rain Alert: Conditions are favourable for the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon over Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, entire Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, parts of Telangana during the next 24 hours and over Northeast India during the next two to three days. At the same time, heavy rain warning has been issued for two states, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, during the next seven days. Therefore, people living here need to be cautious.
Talking about South India, during October 13-18, light to moderate rain with heavy falls at a few places is likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam on October 13 and 14. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds is likely over Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana during October 13-16, Lakshadweep on October 13.
In East and Central India, light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places in Odisha on October 13th, with heavy rain warnings for isolated areas. Thunderstorms are expected in Odisha during October 13th-14th, and in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during October 14th-16th. In Northeast India, a thunderstorm warning has been issued for Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on October 13th.
