Amid the constantly changing weather in many parts of India, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rains in Northeast India. According to the Meteorological Department, cyclone-like conditions are developing in the Bay of Bengal.
IMD Alert: Amidst the departing winter, it seems that the weather is going to deteriorate once again. But this time, not the cold but rain and cyclone can become a disaster. Amidst the constantly changing weather in many parts of India, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain in Northeast India. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone-like situation is developing in the Bay of Bengal, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rain in Assam and surrounding states for the next seven days.
Will rain become a disaster in these states?
IMD said that a cyclonic wind area is forming at a height of 1.5 km in and around Nagaland, due to which heavy to very heavy rain and snowfall may occur in many parts of Northeast India between February 15 and 21. Heavy rain is expected in Assam and Meghalaya especially on February 19, while light to moderate rain may occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
How will the weather be?
With February, the temperature is gradually increasing across the country. The plains of North India including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are feeling hot due to bright sunshine throughout the day, while snowfall continues in the hilly states. At the same time, due to the effect of Western Disturbance, light rain and snowfall may occur in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 19-20 February. Heavy rain is also expected in Rajasthan between 17 and 19 February, while there are chances of rain in Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh on 19-20 February. At the same time, the weather will remain dry in the western and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh for the time being. However, light fog may occur in the morning and night.
