The Reserve Bank is raising awareness.

The Reserve Bank is continuously sending messages to the public regarding these coins, raising awareness. Previous reports indicated hesitation among people regarding 50 paise and 1 rupee coins, but now the RBI has clarified that these coins are as valid as coins of higher denominations. This means that people can now transact with these coins without fear or hesitation. Complaints have been received from many areas across the country that people are reluctant to accept 50 paise or 1 rupee coins, which is not correct.

There’s confusion about the 10 rupee coin.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked in its message, “Are you confused about coins with different designs? If so, know that coins of the same denomination, despite having different designs, continue to circulate simultaneously. 50 paise, ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10, and ₹20 coins are all legal tender and remain in circulation for a long time.
