IRCTC has now decided that the second reservation chart will be ready half an hour before the train opens.
IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has issued a new rule related to ticket booking. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, rules have been changed so that necessary protocols can be followed. IRCTC has now decided that the second reservation chart will be ready half an hour before the train opens. In the last few months, due to a coronavirus infection, the second chart was being prepared two hours earlier.
IRCTC usually released the first chart 4 hours before the train opened before coronavirus infection began. For the remaining seats, tickets could be booked through the ticket counter. Even half an hour ago, tickets were available from the counter. They could also book tickets online before the second chart was made. These seats were available on first come first serve basis.
In all zones of the railway, a second reservation chart will be released half an hour before the train opens. This has been done for the convenience of the passengers.
The statement issued by the Indian Railways said, “The second reservation chart can be issued from 30 minutes to 5 minutes before the train opens. During this time, if the train tickets are canceled, it will get refund. Those who get relief will change their plan at the last minute and have to cancel the train ticket. ”
The Ministry of Railways informed that necessary changes will be made in the software for the new provision. The new ticket booking rule will be applicable from 10 October.
There is no change in the rest of IRCTC‘s online booking rules. According to railway officials, passengers will have to arrive at the railway station two hours in advance.
