Step-by-step process to book train tickets
Let us tell you that AskDisha is a chatbot of Indian Railways, which helps people to book train tickets (Book train ticket by just speaking). To use this facility, you have to follow the steps given below:
Step 1: First of all you have to go to IRCTC’s website or mobile app, where you will see the option of AskDISHA. Apart from this, you can also connect to AskDISHA through IRCTC’s X account or Whatsapp. This chatbot will help you in booking tickets.
Step 2: After connecting to AskDISHA, you have to use words like “Hello” or “Ticket Book” initially. After understanding that you want to book a ticket, the chatbot will ask you for booking details. Such as the source station from where you will start your train journey, the destination station where you have to reach by train, the date of travel and which class you want to travel in, Sleeper, 3AC, 2AC, First Class etc.
Step 3: Based on all the information given by you, the chatbot will show you a list of available trains, not only this, it will also tell you about the time of those trains and the availability of seats. Now you have to select the train, class and seat of your choice.
Step 4: Once you select the train and seat, the chatbot will verify the information provided by you. If the information is found correct, the chatbot will tell you the method of making payment to book the ticket.
Step 5: You will have many options to make payment like UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, from which you have to select one option. After making the payment, you will get booking confirmation and PNR number.
Step 6: After the ticket booking process is completed, you will be sent an e-ticket to your email ID or mobile number. Which you can show to the TTE (Traveling Ticket Examiner) while traveling in the train.
If for some reason your travel plan changes, then you can also cancel your ticket through IRCTC’s Ask DISHA 2.0 facility.
