IRCTC Ticket Booking: Now you can book 24 online train tickets every month, Railways issued a new order

IRCTC has increased the limit for online ticket booking. User IDs not linked to Aadhaar can now book 12 tickets per month, while those linked to Aadhaar can book 24 tickets per month. The Railway Board has issued instructions in this regard.

IRCTC Ticket Booking: Good news for passengers booking tickets online on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and app. The Railways has announced an increase in the online ticket booking limit. This benefit will be available to both Aadhaar-linked user IDs and non-Aadhaar-linked user IDs.

On the IRCTC website or app, non-Aadhaar-linked user IDs are now allowed to book a maximum of six tickets online per month. Aadhaar-linked user IDs can book a maximum of 12 online tickets per month.

For tickets booked, one passenger is verified through Aadhaar. Under the new system, non-Aadhaar-linked user IDs will now be able to book 12 online tickets per month instead of six.

Aadhaar-linked user IDs, with one of the booked tickets verified through Aadhaar, will now be able to book double the number of online tickets per month, i.e., 24, instead of 12.

Railway Board issues directive to MD of CRIS and all zones

Railway Board Director of Passenger Marketing, Vipul Singhal, has issued a letter regarding this to the Managing Director of CRIS (Center for Railway Information Systems) and the Principal Chief Commercial Managers of all zones.

IRCTC has been asked to issue the necessary directives regarding the change. IRCTC should inform its registered users of this change through all possible means.
