These documents must be with you before the ITR is filed
1) PAN Card
2) Aadhaar Card Number
3) Salary / Pension from Employer (s) Sample 16
4) Bank statement / pass book for interest on savings account and fixed deposits
5) Check the tax payment details as available in your Form 26AS.
It should be noted that the Central Direct Taxes Board (CBDT) has again extended the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns for the financial year 2020-21 . The new deadline for filing ITR has changed from September 30 to December 31.
