In fact, Himachal Pradesh’s Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya has inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Kendra at Pragpur in Kangra district . The government has set a target of increasing the number of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras to 10,000 by March 2024 . This is a scheme through which the central government is providing medicines to the people at affordable rates. Through this scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras are being opened in many parts of the country , along with the common people are also being encouraged towards it.
Who can open Jan Aushadhi Kendra
- For this, the government has fixed 3 types of categories.
- The first category includes any person, unemployed pharmacist, a doctor or a registered medical practitioner.
- The second category includes NGOs, private hospitals, trusts and self-help groups etc.
- Apart from this, agencies nominated by the state government are included in the third category.
How is profit
If you open Jan Audhadhi Kendra , then 20 percent margin on the sale of medicine is given to the shopkeepers . Under this, normal and special incentives are also available. As a normal incentive, the government reimburses the cost of opening a drugstore. In this, 1.5 lakh rupees coming on furniture, up to 50 thousand rupees for computer and fridge are included. In this way a maximum of 15 thousand rupees is refunded, till the amount of 2 lakh rupees is not completed. Let us tell you that this incentive is given 15 percent of the monthly purchase or whichever is higher in 15 thousand.
License for Jan Audhadhi Kendra
For this, a license for retail drug sales is required. Its form can be downloaded by visiting https://janaushadhi.gov.in/ . After this, the application has to be sent in the name of General Manager (A&F) of Bureau of Pharma Public Sector Undertaking of India.
