Jan Dhan Account: Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, the account of the poor of the country is opened with zero balance in nationalized banks and post offices. Customers get an overdraft facility of Rs 5000 on the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana account, but for this the account has to be linked to the Aadhar card. The objective of this scheme was to open a bank account for every family. Under this scheme, accounts of 10-year-old children can also be opened. Overdraft facility will be available on this account only when there is zero balance in the account. If the account is not linked to Aadhaar then the benefit of overdraft facility will not be available.
Condition for overdraft facility:
The customer will get the benefit of overdraft facility only when there is enough money in his account for the first 6 months. During this time, he will have to continue to deal with the account. RuPay Debit Card is issued to the account holder so that he does not face any trouble in the transaction.
