JEE Advanced 2026: There’s significant news for millions of students dreaming of studying at IITs. The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has released the full schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2026, also known as JEE Advanced 2026. This exam provides admission to undergraduate engineering courses, including B.Tech, at all IITs across the country. Therefore, this information is crucial for students who have been preparing for this exam for a long time.

According to information released by IIT Roorkee, JEE Advanced 2026 will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026. This exam will be computer-based, with two papers conducted on the same day. All information regarding the exam is available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates can view the full notification there.

When will registration begin?

The application process for JEE Advanced 2026 will begin in April 2026. Candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2026 will be able to register online from April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM, to May 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM. For foreign nationals, OCI, and PIO candidates, the application process will begin on April 6, 2026, and continue until May 2, 2026.

The application fee must be submitted along with the application. The deadline for fee payment is May 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Failure to submit the fee by the stipulated time will result in the application being invalidated.

When will the admit card be available?

The JEE Advanced 2026 admit card will be available for download starting May 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Candidates can download their admit card until May 17, 2026, at 2:30 PM. Without the admit card, entry to the examination center will be denied, so students are advised to download it in time and print it out and keep it safe.

How will the exam be conducted?

The JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in two papers on the same day.

  • Paper 1 will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Taking both papers is mandatory to appear for this exam. If a candidate takes only one paper, their ranking will not be considered. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English.

Who can take JEE Advanced 2026?

Only candidates who rank within the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2026 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2026. JEE Main 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two sessions. The first session will be from January 21 to January 30, 2026, and the second session will be from April 1 to April 10, 2026. Based on the performance in both sessions, a list of candidates eligible for JEE Advanced will be prepared.
