Microsoft India: Once again the giant tech company has fired people. It is reported that Microsoft has fired 276 of its employees. Most of whom are people from the customer service, support and sales team.

So many employees will be affected

The new round of job cuts is separate from the 10,000 global layoffs announced by Microsoft on January 18, Geek Wire reports. Microsoft fired 276 employees in Washington state. According to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN), the reduction will affect 210 employees and 66 virtual employees in the company’s Bellevue and Redmond offices.

A Microsoft spokesperson gave information

“Organizational and workforce adjustments are a necessary and routine part of managing our business,” a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement. “We continue to prioritize strategic growth areas for our future and in support of our customers and partners,” the spokesperson said. There were layoffs in May as well

Microsoft also laid off 158 people in Washington state in May. According to the report, more than 2,700 Seattle-area employees were affected by the layoffs announced earlier this year. Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella announced in January that the company would make changes that would result in a reduction of 10,000 jobs in its total workforce by the end of the third quarter of FY2023. The tech giant has more than 220,000 employees working.
