State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued a statement on this matter. Speaking to reporters in Pune, Maharashtra, Fadnavis said that his government, following the State Election Commission’s (SEC) directive, will not release the January advance installment under the “Ladki Bahin Yojana” to eligible women.
Speaking to reporters in Pune, CM Devendra Fadnavis explained that until now, advance installments under the “Ladki Bahin Yojana” were given to poor women during major festivals. However, the monthly allowance (₹1,500) under this scheme will now be deposited into their accounts after January 16th. Let us tell you that the counting of votes for the elections of 29 municipal corporations of the state will take place on January 16.

He described it as a special gift from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
