Land Registry Rules: Land registration in Bihar has become easy, download documents through SMS

Land and house registration in Bihar has become even easier now. The department has started the facility of downloading documents through SMS. Minister Ratnesh Sada said that digitization will be given priority. Digitization of documents from 1995-2005 has been completed and work is going on on documents from 1990-1995. Revenue collection has also increased.

Land Registry Rules: In Bihar, the relevant documents can be downloaded on the day of registration of land, house etc. For this, the facility of downloading registration documents through SMS has been started. Minister Ratnesh Sada gave this information in the review meeting of the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department held on Friday.

The minister has asked to give priority to the work of digitization of registration documents. He directed all Assistant Inspector General of Registration to regularly monitor the digitization and ordered to complete the work soon by arranging additional human resources if required.

In the review meeting, it was informed that the work of digitization of documents from the year 1995 to 2005 has been completed. Now the work of digitization of 39 lakh 29 thousand 200 documents from the year 1990-1995 has been started in the first phase.

It was told in the review meeting that the target for the financial year 2025-26 has been set at Rs 8250 crore, against which revenue of Rs 2523 crore has been received till July. This is 91.7 percent of the total target.

Compared to last year, revenue of Rs 121 crore more has been collected in the same period this year. The work of installing CCTV cameras in 140 registration offices and nine assistant offices of the state has also been almost completed.

More than four crore liters of liquor seized, 98 percent destroyed:

In view of the assembly elections, the minister directed to conduct intensive raids against illegal smuggling of liquor. Drones, scanners, motorboats and sniffer dogs were asked to be used to the maximum in the raids. Instructions were given for videography and photography of the process of destroying the seized liquor.

He informed that since the implementation of prohibition, a total of more than four crore nine lakh ten thousand liters of liquor has been seized in the state so far, out of which 98% of the liquor has been destroyed. During this period, more than one lakh 48 thousand vehicles have been seized.

He directed to take strict action against the big liquor mafia and take action under CCA. Secretary Ajay Yadav, Excise Commissioner Rajneesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Registration Sushil Kumar Suman, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Joint Commissioner Krishanu Kumar etc. were present in the meeting.
