Learner’s license is necessary
Let us tell you that whenever a citizen needs a driving license to drive a vehicle, he officially first gets a learner’s license. To get it made, the Ministry of Road Transport and Employment has provided online facility to the citizens, so that now citizens will be able to apply for their Learner’s License from home.
Apart from this, now you will not need to go to any RTO to get the license. You can get the license in a few hours by giving the test from anywhere. But to get a Permanent Driving License, one has to physically go to the transport office so that his driving test can be done. If that person qualifies in the driving test, then he gets a permanent driving license. Let’s know how to get a learning driving license.
How to apply online
- First of all go to this website sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do.
- Select your state from the drop down list.
- Now select the option to apply for learners license from the list.
- Then select the applicant with Aadhaar option to give the test from anywhere or from home.
- Now check the box for applicants without driving license issued in the country and click on the submit button.
- Tick the box for submit through Aadhaar authentication option and click on the submit button.
- After this, after submitting the Aadhaar card details and mobile number, click on the Generate OTP button.
- After entering the OTP, verify all the details. Then check the box to accept the terms and conditions. Also, click on the authentication button.
- Now click on the option of mode of payment of license fee.
- It is mandatory to watch a 10-minute driving instruction video to proceed for the test.
- After the tutorial video ends, an OTP and password for the test will be sent to the registered phone number.
- To start the test, complete the form and proceed. Fix the front camera on your device and turn it on.
- Now appear for the test and answer at least six out of 10 questions correctly to pass the exam.
- After clearing the test, the license link will be sent to the registered phone number. If the test is not cleared, Rs 50 will be charged for the test again.
