Life Certificate Deadline – Submitting a life certificate is not just a formality but a necessary process. If a pensioner fails to submit a life certificate by November 30th, their pension will be stopped. You can also submit this document online from home.
New Delhi. Submitting a life certificate every year is mandatory for those receiving government pensions. The purpose of obtaining a life certificate from pensioners every year is to ensure that pension funds reach only the genuine beneficiaries and that no one can fraudulently access the pension. This certificate is a crucial condition for continuing the pension. The deadline for submitting this life certificate is November 30, 2025. This means you have only four days left, including today, to complete this important task. If a pensioner fails to submit the life certificate by November 30, their pension will be stopped.
Submitting a life certificate is not just a formality but a necessary process that the government has initiated to maintain transparency. Previously, life certificates had to be submitted at banks or post offices. This was a tedious process, as banks and post offices would often be crowded. People had to wait in line and wait for long periods to submit their certificates. However, now pensioners can submit their certificates from the comfort of their homes through the Jeevan Pramaan portal or the Jeevan Pramaan app.
How to submit life certificate?
Pensioners can submit the certificate offline by visiting the nearest bank branch, post office, or Common Service Center. When submitting a life certificate, pensioners must provide their Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, Aadhaar number, bank account details (where the pension will be deposited), and Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
