A special Lok Adalat is set to be held again in Delhi. Is your traffic fines weighing you down? You could get a significant discount on February 14th, but only for a limited time. Will you miss it? Learn how to prepare.
If you’ve been driving on Delhi’s roads and have one or more traffic challans pending, and the fines are steadily increasing, there’s no need to worry. A special Lok Adalat is being organized once again to resolve past traffic violation cases in the capital. This initiative aims to provide relief to vehicle owners and expedite the resolution of pending cases. Significantly, significant discounts on the challan amount can also be obtained during this period.
Settlement will take place in these courts
This special Lok Adalat, a joint effort by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and the Delhi Traffic Police, will be held on February 14, 2026. Traffic challans will be settled on this day at seven major court complexes in Delhi: Patiala House, Karkardooma, Tis Hazari, Saket, Rohini, Dwarka, and Rouse Avenue Courts. Vehicle owners can resolve their cases by visiting the respective court complexes at their convenience.
These conditions are important to know.
Only traffic challans and notices that are compoundable and pending on the Delhi Traffic Police portal as of October 31, 2025, will be included in the Lok Adalat. Furthermore, it is mandatory to send the challan to the virtual court. Non-compoundable cases will not be settled in this Lok Adalat.
From Challan Download to Print
Preparing in advance is crucial for settling challans. The challan download link, https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/ lokadalat, became active at 10:00 am on February 9, 2026. A maximum of 50,000 challans can be downloaded per day, with a total limit of 200,000. Importantly, there will be no printing facility on the court premises. Therefore, it is mandatory to bring a printout of the challan or notice with you. Challans can be downloaded through the QR code provided on the Delhi Traffic Police website or in the advertisement.
